How do I apply Ayluna plant-based hair dye?

Ayluna plant-based hair dyes are easy to apply and bring excellent conditioning and colour results to the hair and scalp. We have a step-by-step guide in our tips and tutorials: https://www.ayluna.co.uk/tips-and-tutorials

What’s the difference between Ayluna and Conventional Chemical hair dyes on the high street?

Chemical hair dyes contains ammonia and hydrogen peroxide which penetrates deep into the hair structure, strips the natural oils from the hair, resulting in dry, breakage and split ends. Ayluna plant-based hair dye has no impact on the natural hair structure. Our hair dye surrounds every single hair by a shining glaze of selected organic plant extracts. In combination with your natural hair colour, expressive, lively shades, shine and volume are created. The hair is left in good condition without breakage.

Can I use Ayluna if I have previously chemically dyed my hair?

Conventional hair dyes bring chemical substances into the hair and have an aggressive effect on the structure of the hair. This may lead to adverse reactions if plant-based hair dyes are applied shortly after chemical dyeing. As a rule: always leave an interval of ten hair washes and/or 3 weeks between these treatments. Plant-based dyed hair should never be bleached. A strand test is always advised before colouring.

What ingredients are in the hair dye?

Indigofera Tinctoria Leaf Powder (Indigofera), Lawsonia Inermis Leaf Powder (Henna), Cassia Auriculata Leaf Powder (Cassia), Rubia Cardifolia Root Powder (Madder), Emblica Officinalis Fruit Powder (Amla), Matricaria Chamomila Flower Powder (Chamomile), Trigonella Foenum-Graecum Seed Powder (Fenugreek), Bacopa Monnieri Leaf Powder (Brahmi). All from organic origin.

Any tips or tricks?

Plant-based hair dye on the skin can be removed by using a mixture of oil and lemon juice. Up to two weeks after dyeing, the hair can still bleed (lose some colour) when wet – that’s why you should protect clothes and bed sheets from contact with wet hair.

Can it conceal grey hair?

Yes, you can use our hair dyes for natural-looking concealed grey hair. If your hair is more than 40% grey and you want to dye it a darker shade, it is best to do a pre-pigmentation. First, dye your hair with Ayluna Maroon or Copper red and directly afterwards with the desired shade of brown. For a darker, more intensive brown, leave hair dye in for longer.

What colour would you recommend?

Get Megan Fox’s look with Deep Black Hair Colour. It is particularly suitable for brown to black hair. Or if you’re currently blonde, why not go Emma Stone red with Copper Red Hair Colour.
